• I tend to carry way too much gear—massive bivvy, heavy batteries, and loads of bait. These wheels don't 'squat' or flex under pressure. The stability they add to the rear of the barrow is fantastic, preventing that annoying side-to-side wobble you get with some cheaper conversion kits.
• Fishing in the UK means lots of mud and water. I was worried about the swivel bearings seizing up, but they seem very well protected. I give them a quick spray of WD40 after a wet session, and they stay perfect. The brake lever is also large enough to operate with muddy boots, which is a big plus.
• I’ve had my barrow slide down a steep bank into the margins before—never again. The brakes on these wheels are rock solid. Even on a gravel slope with a full load, they lock tight and stay put. It gives me so much peace of mind while I'm setting up my rods or unloading the van
